October - Pencilcat's 30 Day Drawing Challenge

So my plans for October are:

Continue working my butt off at schoolwork
Potentially host some more contests on either of my main groups (Disney-By-Eras and Video-Game-Nation)
Get super stoked about the final season of Legend of Korra Watched the first episode, I'm eager to see how this story's going to play out. ^_^
Catch up on RWBY and TMNT episodes with my sister when she comes home for Thanksgiving All caught up now!
I'm still on the fence about a Hallowe'en costume, it IS on a Friday this year. Hmmm...

Add some more fun to the mix with a 30 Day Challenge

It goes as follows:

1) Self Portrait - introduce yourself 


 2) Draw a figure using reference - link the reference

3) Draw a figure that's in action using a reference - link the reference
 using 

 4) Draw a part of the human anatomy that you have trouble drawing 20 times with at least 5 of them being musculature and skeletal studies


 5) Draw 20 more figures (quick gestures and silhouettes) with at least 10 different body shapes


6) Design a character based off of this character randomizer www.kuautli.com/randomizer/

7) Pick the weirdest object in your house / room. Render it with shadows and highlights

8) Find 2-3 objects and make a scene with them. Bonus points for creativity. Double points for dramatic lighting and rendering.

9) Draw a landscape of a place you've never been to / drawn


10) Draw a background using 1 point perspective. Negative points if it's an empty street or railroad.


11) Draw a background using 2 point perspective.


12) Look out a window and draw what you see. Bonus points for creativity.


13) Draw an interior setting with the character from Day 6 in it.

14) Draw a background with either a worm's or bird's eye view (3 point?)

15) Halfway there! Draw three action scenes with different compositions in each. Quick sketches are fine, just make them interesting and understandable. Bonus points if it's the same scene with different composition!

16) Draw a single page comic with 5-7 panels. Story must begin and end on this one page.

17) Draw an animal you've never drawn before 10 times - link the reference

18) Draw a car. Negative points for whining. Hint: use a perspective grid.

19) Think of what you hate drawing the most. Guess what? Draw it! Negative points for lying to yourself.

20) Pick an object in your house /  room and design a character around it, using the shapes, forms, purpose, textures,  and colour as inspiration. Negative points for using a humanoid action figure.

21) Draw a character / object / scene using ONLY solid black and whites. Bonus points for good use of lighting and shadows.

22) Draw a different character / object / scene. Shade using hatching, pointilism, or cross-hatching. Bonus points for lights, shadows and textures.

23) Colours! Pick a colour palette  from this website, and  colour a character / scene / object using only these colours. Some blending is allowed. Bonus points for good use of lighting/shadows.(www.colourlovers.com/palettes)

24) Using lineless art, draw and colour a character / scene / object. Bonus points for good use of shadows/lighting.

25) Draw a scene / character in a style you've never tried before. If emulating an artist give them credit. Bonus for colour style.

26) Draw a character in 10 different expressions. Bonus points for using uncommon expressions.

27) Draw three random shapes using your foot or non-dominant hand and design characters off of those shapes.

28) Turn on the tv (or your illegally downloaded movies). Pick an actor and draw them.

29) Almost done! Let's have some fun. Draw some fan art. Bonus points if it's super obscure and unknown. Make people guess!

 30)  Last day! Find a drawing that you did within the last year. Draw it again using you new-found knowledge! Link for comparison.
